Job Purpose:
To drive vehicle sales through exceptional customer service, relationship-building, and expert product knowledge, consistently meeting or exceeding targets while delivering outstanding customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Engagement:
- Greet customers professionally and assess their vehicle requirements.
- Provide expert advice on vehicle specifications, pricing, financing, and features.
- Conduct test drives and vehicle demonstrations.
- Follow up on leads and maintain a customer pipeline using CRM systems.
- Foster long-term relationships to encourage repeat business and referrals.
Sales & Target Achievement:
- Meet or surpass monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Proactively generate new sales through cold calling, social media, referrals, and networking.
- Complete sales documentation and finance applications accurately.
- Upsell accessories, service plans, and add-on products.
Administrative Duties:
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of paperwork and vehicle registrations.
- Stay informed about inventory, promotions, and industry trends.
- Conduct thorough vehicle handovers, including feature and warranty explanations.
Team Collaboration:
- Collaborate with Sales Managers, Finance & Insurance teams, and service departments.
- Attend daily sales meetings and training sessions as required.
Minimum Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Matric / Grade 12.
- Sales or marketing qualification (advantageous).
- Valid driver’s license (Code 08 or higher).
Experience:
- 5+ years of vehicle sales experience, ideally in a dealership setting.
- Proven track record of exceeding sales targets.
Skills & Attributes:
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Confident, energetic, and driven.
- Exceptional negotiation and closing skills.
- High professionalism and integrity.
- Proficient in MS Office and dealership CRM systems.
