Our client is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Financial Manager to join their team. Required Qualifications:
- BCom (Hons) / CTA with Accounting as a major.
- Eligible to register as a Key Individual with the FSCA.
Job Description:
As the Financial Manager, you will oversee the accounting function and key financial processes, ensuring compliance and efficiency. Reporting to the Commercial Director, your responsibilities include:
- Managing the accounting function across the group.
- Leading and directing the Finance Department team.
- Ensuring full compliance with IFRS.
- Preparing monthly reports, Annual Financial Statements, and managing audits.
- Handling VAT, income tax returns, and SARS queries.
- Managing insurance and budgeting.
- Overseeing key financial processes, including efficiency and compliance.
- Leading projects from planning to execution, including resource management and reporting.
- Managing cash flow and forecasts.
- Compiling reports for Exco, Board meetings, and funders.
- Performing ad hoc financial tasks as required.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 15 years of financial management experience, preferably in mid-sized companies.
- Strong leadership experience in finance.
- In-depth knowledge of IFRS.
- Proven project management skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Experience with ERP systems like Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks.
- Adaptability to changing business needs.
