Role Purpose
The Retail Business Consultant builds strong, energetic partnerships with Independent Financial Advisors (IFAs) by leveraging product, market, and sales expertise. This role enhances IFA relationships through seamless service, business analysis, and continuous improvement strategies.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • 3-year BCom degree in Business Management, Marketing, Communications, Finance, or Legal (essential).
  • Willingness to study towards the degree or recognition of prior learning for candidates with 3+ years of experience in Momentum Distribution Services.
  • CFP® qualification is advantageous.

Experience:

  • 3 to 5 years’ experience in the financial services industry (desired).
  • 1 to 3 years of relevant sales experience (essential).
  • Familiarity with Momentum Myriad and Investo products is beneficial.
  • Strong business acumen with expertise in risk assessments, claims, underwriting, tax, and business assurance.
  • Knowledge of the financial services sector and insurance products (desired).

Duties & Responsibilities

Engage:

  • Maintain visibility with IFAs to understand their needs and enhance value propositions.
  • Conduct scheduled IFA visits to deliver key messages.
  • Monitor and optimize weekly activities to exceed sales targets.
  • Present professional IFA agendas and meeting minutes.

Enthuse:

  • Understand target demographics, market landscapes, and competitor influences.
  • Foster long-term, meaningful relationships with IFAs.
  • Encourage IFAs to transition from passive supporters to active ambassadors.

Educate:

  • Position Momentum as a thought leader in the industry.
  • Serve as IFAs’ primary source of Momentum-related information.
  • Uphold accountability, innovation, and excellence in business dealings.
  • Improve financial planning and advisory outcomes.

Enable:

  • Help IFAs achieve or exceed production targets.
  • Increase the number of productive IFAs in the network.

Knowledge:

  • Financial services industry expertise.
  • Understanding of relevant legislation and sales processes.
  • Proficiency in financial product offerings.
