Responsibilities:
- End-to-end data acquisition and management (Event/Streaming data pipelines, ETL, Data Lake, Data Warehousing, and dimensional data modeling).
- Import data into the corporate data lake/warehouse.
- Manage SSIS packages and perform maintenance.
- Create and maintain SQL stored procedures.
- Investigate and resolve SQL bugs.
- Design and build SQL datasets for reporting.
- Load and verify SQL monthly source data.
- Manipulate and analyze data.
- Generate month-end packs in Tableau.
- Manage daily SQL data and Tableau reports.
- Develop and automate new BI reports.
Qualifications & Experience:
- IT-related Degree/Diploma, Microsoft Certification, or Cloud Certification.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in BI (SSIS, SSRS).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Data Warehousing (Kimball Methodology).
- Insurance industry knowledge is required.
- SQL Server 2012+ expertise (database, table, view, stored procedure creation, SQL queries, security).
- Proficiency in Tableau.
- Exposure to cloud technologies.
- Familiarity with Hadoop components (HDFS, Hive, Spark, Oozie, Impala).
- Experience with streaming data pipelines (e.g., Kafka, NiFi).
- Knowledge of object-oriented/functional scripting languages (Python, Java, Scala).
- SQL architectural experience is preferred.
- Working knowledge of C#/VB.Net/VBA is advantageous.

This is a permanent hybrid role with a salary range of R600k–R800k per annum, negotiable based on experience.
