About the Role

The Key Account Specialist is a mid-management role reporting to a senior account manager, responsible for driving sales, volume, and profitability in the gas/forecourt channel. We’re looking for an entrepreneurial, self-starting professional who can develop a medium-term vision based on deep customer insights, market trends, and growth opportunities. You’ll take calculated risks, identify competitive advantages, and share best practices to strengthen Red Bull’s position.

Responsibilities

Strategy

  • Execute Red Bull’s commercial strategy for key accounts.
  • Develop short and mid-term customer plans aligned with national sales policy, focusing on innovation and long-term growth drivers.
  • Implement pricing strategies in line with company guidelines.
  • Deliver a promotional plan that drives market share while optimizing profitability.

Analysis & Planning

  • Analyze Nielsen, scanner, and customer data to uncover growth opportunities.
  • Manage sales forecasting and trade spend budgets to meet targets.
  • Develop annual business and promotional plans for maximum impact.
  • Create winning sales presentations to establish Red Bull as the category leader.

Execution

  • Lead annual negotiations with key accounts, ensuring alignment with category strategies.
  • Implement Perfect Store, VIP programs, Profit Zone, and permanent category solutions.
  • Oversee merchandising and execution partners within your portfolio.

Collaboration

  • Research customer needs to develop mutually beneficial programs.
  • Build strategic partnerships to position Red Bull as a key supplier for profitable growth.
  • Drive Category Captaincy with top retailers in the energy sector.
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration with Field Sales, Distribution, and Trade Marketing teams.

Forecasting

  • Forecast base and promotional volumes using PET analysis for better demand planning.
  • Optimize pack mix and profitability through data-driven decisions.

Experience & Skills

Your expertise that matters:

  • University degree in Business Administration, Economics, or related field.
  • 2-5 years of key account management or field force experience (FMCG/beverage/gas/impulse channels preferred).
  • Experience in budget management, trade spend optimization, and financial planning.
  • Strong retail negotiation, strategic planning, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in SAP/BI for tracking sales performance (advantageous).
  • Existing network of trade relationships in the retail sector.
  • Exceptional presentation and commercial storytelling skills.
  • Willingness to travel (40-50%).
