We are seeking experienced Cleaning Managers to join our talent pool for potential future roles in Cape Town CBD and surrounding areas. Successful candidates will oversee daily operations, ensuring high-quality service delivery aligned with site-specific SLAs. Key responsibilities include client relationship management, cleaning and equipment inspections, and efficient team leadership.

Duties & Responsibilities

Site Management

  • Take full responsibility for site operations.
  • Proactively address client requests with urgency.
  • Optimize resource allocation to meet SLA requirements.
  • Manage output-based contracts efficiently.
  • Maintain trained relief staff pools to prevent service disruptions.
  • Implement and oversee work schedules and job cards.

Quality & Compliance

  • Conduct regular inspections to uphold service standards.
  • Ensure proper service during unit closures, including staff and asset processes.
  • Mitigate Contract cancellation risks through excellent service and client relationships.
  • Enforce staff dress code and adherence to company policies.
  • Follow cleaning methodologies per company standards and legislation.

Asset & Training

  • Perform monthly asset checks and ensure maintenance.
  • Utilize and update company digital tools.
  • Schedule staff training, including on-the-job sessions.
  • Maintain unit files and notice boards per TCS policies.

Communication

  • Hold regular client meetings with signed visit checklists.
  • Respond promptly to client and management requests.
  • Complete monthly client-specific reports (e.g., hygiene, training, maintenance).
  • Disseminate company information to staff effectively.
  • Keep management informed of contract-related issues.

Labour Management

  • Collaborate with HR on staff allocation per policies.
  • Submit timesheets on time.
  • Handle daily HR/IR matters and apply disciplinary codes consistently.
  • Participate in CCMA cases or union meetings as needed.
  • Conduct staff performance appraisals and identify training needs.
  • Ensure compliance with Tsebo House Rules.

Health & Safety

  • Adhere to OHS Act and site-specific safety requirements.

Unit Finances

  • Manage leave liability and plans per company targets.
  • Identify business growth opportunities within contracts.
  • Authorize and bill rechargeable/overtime work promptly.
  • Ensure debtors’ collections align with contracts.
  • Obtain approval for capital expenditures and equipment repairs.
  • Monitor chemical/consumable orders within budget.

General

  • Foster high team morale and motivation.
  • Attend meetings and training sessions.
  • Implement client/Tsebo initiatives (e.g., Quality, Procurement, HR).
  • Uphold the TCS brand professionally.
  • Comply with statutory/legal requirements.
  • Stay updated on company policies.
  • Perform ad-hoc duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years’ middle-management experience in cleaning operations.
  • Background in healthcare/hospitality/commercial sectors preferred.
  • Experience managing large teams.
  • Knowledge of cleaning principles, SLAs, and company policies.
  • Strong industrial relations understanding.
