Job Summary
Drive the acquisition and registration of home loans by executing targeted sales strategies, building relationships with customers and sources, and delivering end-to-end service. This role ensures seamless loan processing in line with Absa’s compliance standards while offering high earning potential through a commission-based structure.

Key Accountabilities:

Sales Acquisition & Execution:

  • Execute action plans to meet monthly targets for applications, approvals, and registrations.
  • Prospect new business through cold calling, networking, and partnerships with real estate agents.
  • Engage existing customers for refinancing or re-mortgaging opportunities.
  • Conduct on-site meetings with clients to provide tailored mortgage solutions.
  • Assist customers in submitting accurate loan applications with complete documentation.
  • Monitor conversion rates and track application progress.
  • Participate in property shows, auctions, and marketing events to expand the customer pipeline.
  • Stay updated on competitor activity to refine strategies and grow Absa’s market share.

Relationship Management:

  • Cultivate relationships with customers, developers, estate agents, and attorneys.
  • Collaborate with Key Account Managers to onboard developers as lead generators.
  • Conduct regular meetings with referral sources to identify opportunities and resolve issues.
  • Educate sources on loan products, processes, and updates.
  • Partner with internal teams to explore cross-selling and value-added services.

Governance & Compliance:

  • Ensure all transactions comply with Absa’s risk and regulatory frameworks.
  • Uphold ethical standards in client and partner engagements.
  • Report suspicious activities promptly to the Risk and Compliance team.

Customer Service Excellence:

  • Deliver exceptional service with timely submission of documentation.
  • Resolve queries and complaints within 24 hours, keeping clients informed.
  • Align with Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) principles.
  • Seek feedback and referrals to expand the customer base.

Education and Experience Required:

  • National Certificate or equivalent (NQF Level 5).
  • Minimum 2 years’ sales or customer service experience in banking/financial services.
  • Proven expertise in home loans, mortgage lending, or property finance.
  • Knowledge of real estate markets and lending policies.

Remuneration:

  • Commission-based earnings (includes basic salary).

Education:
Further Education and Training Certificate (FETC): Business, Commerce and Management Studies (Required).
