Broker Consultant (Bloemfontein) – Hollard Insure
An exciting opportunity is available for a Broker Consultant in our Hollard Insure, Broker Distribution, Central Region team.
Role Objectives:
- Build and maintain strong broker relationships to attract and grow profitable business
- Quickly establish trust with brokers and develop a deep understanding of their portfolios
Key Responsibilities:
Sales and Marketing:
- Drive new business acquisition from brokers while nurturing relationships with existing partners
- Expand the division’s growth organically through consultative selling of Hollard products
- Support marketing efforts by addressing broker queries (policy status, billing, etc.) and explaining product updates
- Deliver engaging presentations to brokers and agents
Account Management:
- Achieve targets for new business volume and quality within company guidelines
- Proactively manage your portfolio to maximize profitability and growth
- Ensure policy renewals are serviced, and endorsements are accurately rated and confirmed
- Collaborate with credit control to address premium arrears monthly
- Review segment performance to implement strategies for sustainable underwriting results
Underwriting/Risk Analysis:
- Assess broker-submitted data to approve risks, coverage, and pricing
- Recommend innovative solutions for rating plans and policy terms, while declining non-viable risks
- Ensure timely and accurate policy transactions (quotes, renewals, endorsements, cancellations)
- Validate reinsurance placement where applicable
