Events & Promotions Manager – Sun International

Main Purpose of the Job
Responsible for managing the daily operations of events, promotions, and experiential activations. This includes overseeing entertainment performances, promotions execution, and branding initiatives to position Sun International as the leading entertainment and casino destination.

Education, Experience, and Competencies Required

  • Grade 12
  • Minimum 2-year Diploma in Marketing or Events Management
  • At least 3 years of experience in marketing, promotions, or events management
  • Gaming industry exposure preferred

Job Scope and Responsibilities

Events & Promotions Planning

  • Analyze competitor offerings and gaming trends
  • Develop annual events and promotions calendar
  • Create innovative solutions to target new markets
  • Plan budgets, proposals, and resource allocation
  • Manage supplier relationships and event logistics
  • Conduct risk assessments and contingency planning

Events & Promotions Execution

  • Oversee event setup, décor, and catering
  • Drive attendance through marketing and social media
  • Monitor promotions and ensure seamless execution
  • Coordinate post-event feedback and reporting
  • Track expenses and ensure budget compliance

People Management

  • Manage staff productivity, attendance, and performance
  • Identify training needs and develop team skills
  • Handle recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations
  • Conduct performance reviews and coaching

Problem-Solving & Accountability

  • Apply business insight to optimize promotions and events
  • Adapt to market changes swiftly
  • Resolve customer queries and complaints effectively
  • Enhance operational efficiency and risk management
