Role Purpose
The Wellness Assistant is responsible for delivering exceptional service by offering knowledgeable advice on healthcare, nutrition, and supplementation. This role supports the achievement of sales targets while building strong customer relationships and promoting wellness-focused solutions.
Key Responsibilities

Provide outstanding customer service through proactive in-store engagement and a solid understanding of health and supplement products

Advise customers on appropriate healthcare, nutritional, and supplement products to suit their individual needs

Drive sales by promoting a wide range of wellness products through effective cross-selling and up-selling techniques

Ensure the availability of stock in healthcare aisles by adhering to stock management procedures and monitoring inventory levels

Minimise product wastage through proper stock rotation practices

Prevent stock loss by following risk management policies and operational procedures

Maintain a clean, hygienic, and welcoming store environment for customers

Execute visual merchandising of wellness products in accordance with company guidelines

Follow all standard operating procedures to ensure consistent customer service delivery

Enhance customer experience by maintaining up-to-date product knowledge and sharing insights with colleagues
Knowledge and Skills

Basic understanding of health, fitness, and supplements (desirable)

Knowledge of retail operations, including stock control, merchandising, and risk management

Strong communication and customer interaction skills

Ability to drive customer service and sales performance

Basic merchandising skills

Basic computer literacy (desirable)
Minimum Requirements

Matric with 50% in English and Maths or 60% in Maths Literacy, plus a pass in Physical Science or Life Science (essential)

At least 1 year of relevant customer service or retail experience (essential)

Sales or customer service training (essential)

Experience with sports nutrition or vitamin products (desirable)

Qualification in sports, fitness, or nutrition (desirable)
