Role Purpose
The Beauty Assistant plays a key role in delivering outstanding customer service by offering professional advice on beauty and skincare products. The role also involves promoting and managing merchandise effectively to maximise sales and enhance the customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert advice to customers, guiding them to the best beauty and skincare solutions for their needs

  • Drive sales by actively promoting products, cross-selling and up-selling to meet monthly targets

  • Monitor product performance and suggest improvements to enhance the range and increase sales

  • Stay up-to-date with beauty trends, product knowledge, and in-store promotions to inform and assist customers effectively

  • Manage stock efficiently, minimise shrinkage, and ensure high standards of cleanliness and organisation in the beauty department

  • Maintain visual merchandising and promotional displays to reflect the brand image

  • Act as a brand ambassador, delivering friendly, professional customer service and enhancing brand loyalty

  • Promote and assist with Clicks ClubCard enrollments to meet participation targets

  • Increase sales by highlighting private label and exclusive product offerings

  • Support the company’s goal of becoming the customer’s first choice in health and beauty retail

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 (essential)

  • Beauty or skincare qualification (desirable)

  • Experience in beauty, skincare, retail, FMCG, or a sales/marketing environment (desirable)

Knowledge and Skills

  • Solid understanding of selling techniques and customer service principles

  • Knowledge of merchandising and promotional practices in retail/FMCG environments

  • Familiarity with stock management procedures

  • Strong product knowledge in beauty and skincare

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Target-driven with a customer-centric mindset

  • Confident, engaging, and able to work under pressure
