Computer Literacy

  • Intermediate proficiency in the full Microsoft Office Suite

Job-Related Requirements

  • 2–3 years’ new business sales experience within the Transport and Logistics industry

  • Proven experience in prospecting and securing new business

  • Demonstrated ability to achieve and exceed new business targets

  • Tender management experience

  • Experience in selling cross-silo logistics solutions

  • Ability to develop and manage a qualified new business pipeline

  • Daily reporting to the Regional Sales Manager

  • Monthly reporting as required

Core Competencies

  • Basic understanding of industry supply chains

  • Strong administrative skills with high attention to detail

  • Proven new business development capability

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Secure new business within the Distribution market for the allocated region

  • Achieve monthly and annual new business targets

  • Prospect for new opportunities and convert leads into sustainable, billing clients

  • Build, manage, and maintain strong client relationships

  • Manage monthly billing processes and financial reporting

  • Perform general sales administration duties

  • Represent and uphold the DSV brand at all times

  • Analyse sales performance and submit weekly reports to the Regional Sales Manager

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records

  • Conduct competitor and industry analysis

  • Assist with tender and proposal preparation and presentations

  • Create sustainable customer value through innovative business solutions

  • Ensure all monthly and cumulative targets are achieved

  • Manage the implementation and communication of signed business

  • Control debtor days in line with company requirements

  • Maintain effective interdepartmental communication

  • Identify cross-silo opportunities and collaborate with departmental heads

  • Mentor and support junior New Business Sales Executives

  • Ensure client files are maintained in line with company procedures and Quality Management Systems

  • Update and maintain the internal CRM system

  • Meet required client call ratio KPIs as set by management

  • Perform additional duties as requested by management
