Flysafair careers – QC Inspector
Flysafair is seeking a QC Inspector to join the team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring quality control in aircraft maintenance and operations.
Responsibilities

Conduct quality control inspections on aircraft interiors, exteriors, parts, and tooling used for maintenance.

Oversee aircraft preparation for C of A inspections, ensuring compliance with regulations.

Investigate operational occurrences and contribute to process improvements.

Identify and recommend enhancements to quality control processes within various departments.

Perform ad hoc duties as assigned by the Manager: QA.

Issue and control AMO certification approvals.

Assist in chairing meetings and participate in key operational discussions.

Authorize and issue company authorizations for Technical and Flight Engineers.

Conduct random inspections during daily turnarounds and scheduled maintenance checks.

Ensure compliance with maintenance procedures and instructions.

Inspect maintenance areas and verify proper execution of tasks before closure.

Review maintenance documentation for accuracy and completion.

Conduct quality audits on FlySafair departments, aircraft, facilities, and external service providers.

Compile monthly reports on QC activities.

Assist in developing and updating quality procedures, manuals, and work instructions.
Requirements
-
Grade 12 or equivalent.
-
Aircraft Maintenance Engineer’s License (Current/Expired) (Essential).

Quality Auditor and Lead Auditor Certification, including Root Cause Analysis Training (Essential).

Degree/Diploma in Quality Management (Advantageous).
-
Safety Management Systems training (Advantageous).
-
Minimum 5 years of experience in auditing and implementing Quality Management Systems in aviation.

Experience with IOSA auditing (Advantageous).
-
Technical experience in aviation (Advantageous).
-
Familiarity with Safety Management Systems.
-
Strong product knowledge, preferably licensed or previously licensed on Boeing 737s and associated engines.

Understanding of SACAA regulations, particularly Parts 21, 43, 64, 66, 91, 121, 140, 141, 145, and 187.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
