Job Overview
The Finance Analyst plays a key role in delivering accurate financial analysis and reporting to support cost management, budgeting, forecasting, and performance monitoring within the business. This role partners closely with Supply Chain and Finance stakeholders to enable informed decision-making, ensure strong governance compliance, and drive continuous improvement in financial processes and asset control.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver accurate and timely weekly and monthly consolidated cost reports, proactively identifying and addressing risks of overspend

  • Provide detailed cost, margin, pricing, and ROI analysis to support performance improvement and profitable growth

  • Coordinate and manage annual budgeting and forecasting cycles, ensuring alignment with business objectives

  • Lead the implementation and monitoring of RACM framework compliance, including quarterly self-assessments and corrective action plans

  • Drive financial governance awareness through training, policy implementation, and continuous improvement initiatives

  • Act as the primary liaison for internal and external audits, ensuring timely and accurate provision of supporting documentation

  • Oversee financial planning activities and support the development of team members

  • Manage stock counts, asset verifications, and impairment reviews to ensure accurate financial reporting and control

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Commerce Honours in Financial Management or an equivalent qualification

  • CA(SA) or CIMA qualification is an advantage

Experience

  • 3 to 6 years’ experience in financial management, preferably within an FMCG environment

  • Proven experience in cost and margin analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and governance compliance

  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and financial systems, with experience in D365 considered an advantage

  • Exposure to margin improvement initiatives or pricing strategies is beneficial

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong ability to consolidate, interpret, and present complex financial data, particularly cost and income statement analysis

  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills, including dashboards and pivot tables

  • Solid knowledge of governance, risk, and compliance frameworks such as RACM or SOX

  • Proven ability to supervise, coach, and develop finance team members

  • Strong business partnering, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills

  • Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and scenario planning

  • Strong analytical thinking with the ability to evaluate cost efficiency and manage financial risks

  • Ability to design and implement reporting tools, templates, and process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency
