Purpose of the Job
The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing projects with a hands-on approach, ensuring full understanding of project scope, operational impact, and alignment with divisional objectives. The role ensures projects are delivered on time, within scope, and achieve the desired outcomes for the Logistics division and other related areas.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management
- Manage projects, including process improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with IT and operational teams to deliver projects effectively
- Achieve tangible business outcomes using structured project management methodologies
- Develop project plans, timelines, and task schedules
- Assign roles and responsibilities for project tasks
- Monitor project progress, report status, and escalate potential issues
- Ensure tasks are completed on schedule and project objectives are met
- Administer project documentation, schedule meetings, prepare agendas, record minutes, and track action points
- Maintain comprehensive project records and filing systems
- Provide timely feedback and communication to stakeholders
Project-Related Tasks
- Analyse and investigate business and operational processes for project outcomes
- Gather and document business requirements
- Document findings and prepare reports for management review
- Develop process documentation, process flows, and solution-oriented materials
- Conduct research to support project implementation and decision-making
General Duties
- Perform general administrative tasks related to project management
- Maintain housekeeping standards for a structured work environment
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Business Management is advantageous
- PMI certification preferred (CAPM or PMP)
- Minimum 3 years’ project management experience

- Computer literacy and proficiency in project management tools
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Reporting and documentation skills
