About the Program
Purpose of the Job
The Project Manager is responsible for managing projects with a hands-on approach, ensuring full understanding of project content and alignment with operational objectives. The role focuses on achieving project outcomes and timelines in line with the Logistics division and other related divisions as required.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management
- Manage projects, including operational improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with IT and operational teams to deliver projects successfully
- Achieve measurable business outcomes using structured project management methods
- Develop detailed project plans and schedules
- Estimate project timelines and assign roles and responsibilities
- Apply project management methodologies to guide execution
- Monitor project progress, report on status, and escalate potential issues
- Ensure tasks are completed on time and project objectives are met
- Administer project activities, including scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, documenting minutes and action points, and distributing them
- Maintain comprehensive project records and ensure proper filing
- Communicate with stakeholders and provide timely feedback
Project-Related Tasks
- Conduct analysis and operational activities to support project outcomes
- Investigate and document business and operational processes
- Gather, document, and report business requirements
- Develop process documentation, flows, and solution-oriented records
- Conduct research to support project implementation and decision-making
General
- Perform general administrative tasks and housekeeping to support project execution
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Business Management beneficial
- PMI certification preferred (CAPM or PMP)
- Minimum 3 years’ project management experience
