Responsibilities
As a Procurement Specialist – Grains Logistics, you will drive procurement and logistics excellence across PepsiCo’s grains supply chain. Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and execute end-to-end category sourcing strategies for grains, ensuring cost-effective delivery and supply continuity.
- Source and negotiate with suppliers, leveraging analytics and market insights to optimize procurement outcomes.
- Manage high-intensity trade-to-mill supply operations, balancing logistics in both peak harvest and thin-season conditions.
- Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders, including mills and transporters, to achieve operational objectives.
- Implement innovative purchasing solutions and process improvements to drive efficiency and cost savings.
- Analyze market trends, cost drivers, and supplier performance to inform sourcing decisions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external suppliers.
- Lead projects and initiatives, prioritize tasks, and manage ambiguity proactively.
- Present and communicate procurement strategies and results across multiple levels of the organization.
Qualifications
- 6–8 years of specific grains procurement and logistics experience, with end-to-end execution capability.
- At least 3 years’ experience in high-volume trade-to-mill operations.
- Strong negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship skills.
- International sourcing experience and commercial awareness.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage projects effectively.
- Experience working in multicultural, cross-functional teams with strong influencing and presentation capabilities.
- Self-starter with a desire to develop a long-term career in procurement.
