Pharmacy Manager – Clicks Group Careers
Job Purpose
The Pharmacy Manager is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of the dispensary and clinic while delivering service excellence. The role leads and directs the pharmacy team to provide high standards of pharmaceutical care, achieve sales and compliance targets, and maintain a competitive advantage for the brand.
Job Objectives

Provide and ensure high standards of pharmaceutical care, including accurate and safe dispensing, generic substitution, and professional patient advice in line with Good Pharmacy Practice, legal requirements, and SAPC regulations

Manage and control all dispensary operations, including stock management, shrinkage control, housekeeping, and administration in accordance with company standards and regulatory requirements

Ensure the financial viability of the dispensary through effective financial management, achievement of dispensary and clinic targets, and proactive expense control

Build a competent, motivated, and high-performing pharmacy team through effective recruitment, leadership, performance management, and ongoing development of employees, learners, and interns

Schedule staff in line with labour policies and operational requirements, ensuring accurate time and attendance records and HR submissions

Drive customer service excellence initiatives that enhance the customer experience, build loyalty, and achieve ClubCard participation targets

Ensure strong integration and collaboration between the pharmacy, clinic, and healthcare aisles to deliver a comprehensive healthcare offering

Promote and live the company values in support of the Group’s vision to be the customer’s first choice health and beauty retailer

Drive alignment and integration between store operations, pharmacy, and clinic teams

Minimum Requirements
Education and Experience

Essential: Registered Pharmacist with the South African Pharmacy Council

Essential: Minimum of 2 years’ experience post community service
-
Essential: At least 1 year of people management experience

Essential: Registered with SAPC as the Responsible Pharmacist
-
Desirable: Retail pharmacy experience
-
Desirable: Experience with Unisolv
