Job Purpose
The Pharmacist Through The Night is responsible for delivering exceptional pharmaceutical care during night operations by ensuring safe, accurate dispensing and providing professional healthcare advice in line with company standards, good pharmacy practice, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality pharmaceutical care, including accurate and safe dispensing, generic substitution, and professional patient counselling in accordance with SAPC regulations and company procedures.

• Execute all dispensary operations efficiently, including stock control, shrinkage prevention, housekeeping, and administrative duties in line with legal, merchandising, and company standards.

• Ensure compliance with the legal scope of practice as prescribed by the South African Pharmacy Council.

• Oversee, support, and develop Pharmacist Assistants and Pharmacist Interns through effective training, coaching, and mentorship when required.

• Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

• Collaborate with clinic and healthcare departments to deliver an integrated and comprehensive healthcare offering to customers.

• Actively promote and live the company values while supporting the Group’s vision of being the customer’s first choice health and beauty retailer.

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications and Experience

• B Pharm Degree

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience post community service

• Retail pharmacy experience is advantageous

Skills, Abilities and Knowledge

• Sound knowledge of SAPC regulations and relevant pharmaceutical legislation

• Strong customer service orientation with a focus on effective patient care

• Professional counselling skills

• High levels of integrity and ethical conduct

• Excellent accuracy and attention to detail

• Coaching and tutorship capability

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
