Job Description
Perform physical cycle counts and reconcile stock with system records. Investigate and report discrepancies, damaged stock, incorrect pricing, and SKU errors. Ensure accurate inventory records and assist with stock-take preparations.
Requirements
- Minimum Grade 12 with 1 year of relevant work experience, or 2 years of related experience
- Effective communication in English and the primary local language
- Literate with strong numeric skills
- Accurate, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure
- Basic computer skills
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
Key Performance Areas
Perpetual Inventory Counts
- Conduct daily stock counts according to the PIC Count Cycle
- Investigate positive and negative variances and report findings to the Store Manager
- Rectify negative stock quantities with Store Manager approval
- Identify and report damaged stock
- Assist with mini and full wall-to-wall stock-take preparations
- Conduct normal PIC counts during full stock-take
Reporting
- Report daily variances to Store Manager or Divisional Manager
- Highlight irregularities and follow up if no action is taken
- Report incorrect pricing, SKU errors, damaged stock, and poor merchandising
PIC Adjustments
- Ensure all adjustments are accurate, verified, and signed off by management
- Validate End of Day Reports against PIC Adjustment Sheets
- Report any outstanding adjustments before the end of the trading day
Filing and Administration
- Complete, sign off, and file all PIC documents daily with Store Manager approval

Customer Service
- Adhere to the Cashbuild dress code with name badge visible
- Assist immediately with customer complaints
Safety (OHSA) Compliance
- Ensure staff and customer safety within the area of responsibility
- Use correct safety equipment and clothing
- Report any safety discrepancies to the Store Manager
