Job Description

Job Objectives

  • Achieve budgeted and agreed financial targets

  • Ensure optimal utilisation of people resources to meet productivity objectives

  • Maintain accountability for company assets to support health and safety compliance and an effective working environment

  • Analyse and interpret key operational metrics to drive process improvement and enhanced financial performance

  • Engage, communicate, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure efficient query resolution, compliance with service level agreements, and adherence to legal requirements

  • Lead and direct teams to ensure consistent process compliance with company SOPs, cut-offs, and daily reporting standards

  • Manage labour brokers in line with service level agreements, ensuring performance accountability and effective cost control

  • Deliver high service levels to stores through accurate, on-time deliveries, reduced damages, and clear communication

  • Manage transporters in accordance with agreed service level agreements

Knowledge

  • Ability to conceptualise solutions to meet business demand

  • Technical and systems knowledge of supply chain and logistics applications and processes

  • Experience in implementing and managing complex picking systems

  • Health and safety knowledge

Desirable

  • Project management concepts, methodologies, and tools

  • Basic knowledge of labour legislation

Skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Financial management capability

  • Computer literacy

  • Ability to engage business stakeholders and translate requirements into practical process or IT solutions

  • Capability to design and lead the implementation of complex systems

  • Strong problem-solving skills for complex business and technical challenges

  • Effective change management communication skills

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities

Minimum Requirements

Education

  • Grade 12

  • Tertiary qualification in Logistics, Business, or a related field
