Job Overview
Cashbuild Vacancies is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Goods Receiving Supervisor to manage the receiving and returning of stock from suppliers and other stores. The role is responsible for accurately capturing goods receiving vouchers on the system, ensuring correct labelling and pricing of stock, and overseeing the efficient dispatch of received stock to the sales floor for merchandising.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 with 1 year related experience, or a minimum of 2 years related experience
• Ability to communicate effectively in English and preferably the dominant local language
• Strong numerical and reconciliation skills
• Proven customer service ability
• Ability to work under pressure
• Computer literacy
• Willingness to work shifts and weekends

Key Performance Areas

Receiving and IBT Stock

• Ensure a second designated employee is present during receiving and dispatching of stock
• Receive stock from suppliers and verify goods against supplier invoices, delivery notes, and purchase orders
• Complete proof of delivery documentation and provide stamped copies to suppliers
• Capture all receiving transactions accurately on the system within required timelines
• Ensure discrepancies on invoices are corrected, endorsed, and signed by the supplier representative, including truck registration details
• Process all Inter-Branch Transfers (IBTs) in and out within set timeframes, ensuring no discrepancies and proper filing of documentation

Stock Distribution

• Ensure all received stock is cleared from the Goods Receiving Supervisor office promptly
• Dispatch stock to the sales floor for merchandising within prescribed time limits

Stock Labelling and Pricing

• Label all stock without printed SKUs with the correct SKU on the product
• Verify accuracy of printed SKUs and correct any errors identified
• Ensure adherence to company pricing policies
• Implement pending price changes in line with company procedures

Supplier Claims and Corrections

• Validate supplier claims with appropriate pick-up slips or credit notes attached to adjustment vouchers
• Ensure all corrections are supported by proper documentation and authorized by the Store Manager
• Raise supplier claims only when stock is scheduled for immediate collection

Security Awareness

• Ensure the receiving gate is never left unattended when open
• Secure receiving stamps and purchase order books in locked storage
• Keep the GRS office locked when not in use
• Ensure supplier truck crews remain at their vehicles and do not loiter in the store

Ready for Business

• Maintain a clean and organized Goods Receiving area and office
• Clear excess or damaged stock from the receiving area, except stock awaiting return to suppliers
• Adhere to all operational readiness and procedural standards

Customer Service

• Comply with the company dress code and display name badge at all times
• Assist suppliers with queries in a professional manner
• Provide exceptional service to customers when interacting within the receiving area

Safety (OHSA) Compliance

• Ensure first aid supplies are accessed only by authorized personnel
• Maintain safety compliance within the receiving area
• Report safety concerns to the Store Manager immediately
