SAB Vacancies – Financial Analyst

SAB is seeking a Financial Analyst to join our team. The Financial Analyst plays a crucial role in managing journal processing, reconciliations, SAP open items, and general accounting administration. This role involves collaborating with a squad and embracing agile ways of working to ensure accountability and shared responsibility.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Journal Processing and Accounting
    • Prepare and process monthly and annual General Accounting journals, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in SAP and JEAN.
    • Create and upload intercompany journals as required by the business, including accruals, recharges, and invoices.
    • Maintain adherence to General Ledger closure deadlines, supporting management requirements.
  • Balance Sheet Reconciliation and Commentary
    • Prepare monthly Balance Sheet Commentary, ensuring all balance sheet open items in SAP are cleared to maintain a healthy aging status.
    • Perform reconciliations and administer general accounting tasks to meet weekly and monthly targets, SLAs, and KPIs.
  • Process Improvement and Root Cause Analysis
    • Identify and implement corrective actions for recurring process-related issues, conducting root cause analysis where necessary.
    • Collaborate with the team to identify process improvement and automation opportunities.
    • Adhere to internal control protocols and provide information as required for internal and external audits.
  • Team Collaboration and Communication
    • Embrace agile teamwork, ensuring shared responsibility and accountability for sprint backlog work.
    • Communicate key challenges, insights, and workarounds to the Team Lead, providing support to other squad members.
    • Build productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Profile Requirements

  • Matric and a degree in finance or a related field.
  • 0-5 years of experience in a related position.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and financial systems.
  • Experience with SAP is required.
  • Strong process knowledge and understanding of general finance terms.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to work independently.
  • Capable of handling confidential information and flexible with position duties.
