Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12

• Accounting degree or similar qualification (essential)

• Intermediate computer literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Job-Related Requirements

• Currently studying toward qualification as a Chartered Accountant

Main Purpose of the Role

The CA Trainee Accountant Program is designed to develop future Chartered Accountants through the SAICA Training Outside Public Practice (TOPP) Programme, providing structured exposure, mentorship, and professional development to support qualification as a CA(SA).

Duties and Responsibilities

• Participate in a structured three-year SAICA TOPP training programme

• Complete rotational placements across various departments, with three rotations per year and four months per department

• Gain broad financial and commercial exposure within an experienced finance team

• Prepare for and write SAICA ITC and APC examinations with structured study support

• Utilise allocated study leave for examination preparation and writing

• Engage with assigned mentors who provide guidance, coaching, and exam support

• Demonstrate professional growth, accountability, and commitment to the finance profession

• Contribute positively to a high-performance finance environment focused on learning and development
