MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To strategically plan, direct, lead, and manage the provincial sales and marketing strategy for the Insurance division. This role focuses on identifying and managing key stakeholders and brokers to drive the growth and visibility of Insurance products in the province. The ideal candidate will possess multidisciplinary expertise, strong leadership skills, and a proven ability to optimize new and existing business opportunities.
Key Performance Areas
Business and Operations Management
- Define and align provincial objectives with the overall business strategy.
- Determine deliverables and continuously evaluate operations for improvement opportunities.
- Monitor and manage business performance against targets and service benchmarks.
- Provide EXCO with timely and accurate business performance reports.
- Foster collaboration with other divisions to enhance operational synergy.
Business Growth and Delivery of Value Proposition
- Align the Provincial Business Plan with organizational strategy and set measurable targets.
- Execute integrated sales, relationship management, and portfolio growth strategies.
- Drive customer acquisition and retention through cross-selling and relationship-building.
- Coordinate sales, customer service, and administrative processes for seamless operations.
- Ensure profitability by growing market share and financial performance.
Development Impact Mandate
- Execute provincial development projects to support national targets.
- Facilitate and manage agricultural development initiatives at the provincial level.
Customer Value and Stakeholder Management
- Foster a strong sales and service culture to enhance customer experience.
- Resolve escalated customer complaints promptly and effectively.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with stakeholders, including government bodies and industry leaders.
- Organize marketing events, seminars, and campaigns to promote Insurance products.
- Deliver presentations on Insurance solutions as required.
Financial Sustainability
- Achieve financial targets by managing profitability and cost efficiency.
- Contribute to annual budget planning and monitor execution.
- Report on provincial performance, including revenue, expenditure, and risk indicators.
Strategy
- Develop short- and long-term strategic goals for the province.
- Implement marketing strategies and represent the company in public forums.
- Engage with regulatory stakeholders to protect and enhance the brand.
- Strengthen relationships with business chambers, government institutions, and the private sector.
Preferred Minimum Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce or a relevant insurance qualification.
- FAIS compliance for Representative appointment.
- 10+ years of business development experience.
- Proven track record in operations, stakeholder management, and sales leadership.
Critical Competencies
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Financial and business acumen.
Additional Requirements
- Willingness to work extended hours as needed.
- Availability for extensive travel.
