Purpose of the Job
The Vehicle Monitoring Coordinator at Value Logistics ensures daily operational efficiency by overseeing vehicle activity, managing incidents, and maintaining accurate reporting. The role emphasizes procedural compliance, professional conduct, and adherence to health, safety, and housekeeping standards. It also involves operational support to minimize downtime and enhance service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Vehicle Monitoring and Incident Management
- Monitor vehicles in line with company procedures.
- Identify, document, and report deviations and exceptions immediately.
- Address all alarms within the required timeframe.
- Respond to incidents and accidents professionally, following protocols.
Communication and Reporting
- Obtain daily route sheets from relevant business units.
- Record operational and vehicle performance data accurately.
- Compile and distribute operational reports to stakeholders on time.
- Log and report all unusual occurrences without delay.
Fault Management and Vehicle Repairs
- Update vehicle faults daily in the system or log.
- Communicate faults to the appropriate departments.
- Follow up to ensure timely and effective vehicle repairs.
Operational Support
- Assist with operational tasks as needed.
- Maintain professionalism in all interactions with staff and customers.
- Adhere to dress code and grooming standards per company policies.
Housekeeping, Health and Safety
- Keep the work area clean and organized daily.
- Comply with all Health and Safety regulations and safe work practices.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
