Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Research advice-related matters for client reports and Records of Advice (ROA).
- Draft Records of Advice documents in collaboration with financial advisors and the administration manager.
- Assist with compliance duties and client review processes.
- Verify accuracy of policy schedules and reports prepared by the administration team.
- Liaise with financial advisors, service providers, clients, and team members.
- Support research, investigations, and setup of advice/administration processes.
- Aid senior advisors in preparing financial plans and investment strategies.
- Conduct client research and compile financial data for recommendations.
- Attend client meetings and manage follow-up tasks.
- Stay updated on financial products, market trends, and regulations.
- Engage in training to advance financial advisory expertise.
Requirements
- Matric certificate.
- Progress toward industry certifications (e.g., PGDip Financial Planning, CFP®).
- 3+ years’ experience at a CAT I FSP (investments, long-term insurance, employee benefits, medical aid, gap cover).
- Strong knowledge of investment-related financial advice.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and passion for financial planning and client service.
- Must work Full-Time (08:00–16:30) at Morningside, Durban offices.
Required Competencies
- Understanding of Financial Services Industry, FAIS, and FICA legislation.
- Proficiency in compliance documentation for financial advice.
- Familiarity with financial planning business administration.
- Team-oriented with strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, financial planning software like Xplan/AtWork/EliteWealth).
- Detail-oriented, analytical, and adept at time management.
- Professional demeanor with problem-solving agility and adaptability.
