Junior Financial Advisor – Hire Resolve
A leading financial services firm with a legacy spanning nearly a century is seeking a dedicated Junior Financial Advisor to join their team. Specializing in helping professionals, business owners, and families grow and protect their wealth, the firm focuses on investment-led financial planning. They are supported by a team of highly qualified advisors with expertise in retirement planning, estate structuring, risk management, and offshore investment strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Research financial advice matters with advisors for client reports and records.
- Assist financial advisors and administration managers in drafting Records of Advice.
- Support compliance duties and ensure adherence to regulations.
- Help manage client review processes and verify policy schedules for accuracy.
- Liaise with advisors, service providers, clients, and team members as needed.
- Conduct research, gather information, and assist in setting up advice processes.
- Aid senior advisors in preparing financial plans and investment strategies.
- Analyze client financial data and support planning recommendations.
- Assist with client meetings and follow-up tasks.
- Stay updated on financial products, market trends, and regulatory changes.
- Participate in training to enhance financial advisory knowledge.
Requirements:
- Matric certificate.
- Progress toward industry certifications (PGDip Financial Planning, CFP® preferred).
- 3+ years’ experience at a CAT I FSP (investments, insurance, employee benefits, medical aid).
- Strong knowledge of investment-related financial advice.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for financial planning.
- Availability to work Full-Time (08:00–16:30) in Morningside, Durban.
Required Competencies:
- Knowledge of Financial Services Industry, FAIS, and FICA regulations.
- Strong compliance understanding for financial advice documentation.
- Familiarity with financial planning business administration processes.
- Team-oriented mindset with reliability and productivity.
- Advanced IT skills (Microsoft Office, financial planning CRM software like Xplan).
- Strong time management and deadline adherence.
- Detail-oriented, analytical, and research-driven.
- Problem-solving ability to address business needs efficiently.
- Professional presence as a business representative.
