A leading insurance company is seeking a Senior Commercial Underwriter with extensive experience in the binder space, preferably familiar with Cardinal360 software, to join their dynamic team. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for a strategic and commercially driven Underwriter to expand business growth by securing new opportunities, managing client relationships, and closing profitable deals.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze, evaluate, and underwrite new and renewal business in line with company underwriting guidelines.
- Build and nurture relationships with brokers and internal stakeholders to drive business success.
- Apply strong risk assessment and pricing expertise to negotiate favorable terms and conditions.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior underwriters, acting as a key referral point.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards in all underwriting decisions.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation within company systems.
- Manage administrative tasks related to policies, endorsements, and renewals.
Requirements:
- RE 5 + NQF 5 qualification.
- Minimum 5 years of commercial underwriting experience, specifically within a binder environment.
- Proficiency in Cardinal360 software is essential.
