About the Program:

Job Description
The Radio Repair Technician is responsible for analyzing, fault-finding, and performing basic repairs on VHF and GSM radios. This role ensures all radios and related equipment are tested, repaired, and prepared for deployment or return to suppliers, supporting operational efficiency in the security environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Test, troubleshoot, and repair VHF, GSM, and other radio units
• Assist with technical queries, signal strength issues, LSN queries, and system delays
• Handle radios loaded incorrectly and support Ajax linkup when required
• Collect faulty radios from the Warehouse and sort returned stock from technicians
• Coordinate scrapping of unusable radios and alarm system components
• Return radios and equipment to suppliers as needed
• Label, scan, and box all tested radios for return to the Warehouse
• Submit weekly reports detailing radio counts, scrapped items, and returns to suppliers
• Monitor bin movements and maintain accurate stock records
• Assist with testing signals on tracking units for special projects

Qualifications and Experience:

• Post-matric qualification or equivalent
• Previous radio repair experience in the security industry essential
• Computer literate (MS Office, advanced Excel, PowerPoint)
• Professional and well-presented at all times
• Ability to work under pressure and extended hours if required
• Willingness to travel as necessary
