About the Role:
The Sales Representative is responsible for signing up new accounts, managing strategic client relationships, and achieving monthly and annual new business targets. The role involves prospecting, developing pipelines, implementing new accounts, and ensuring sustainable growth while representing the DSV brand professionally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prospect and generate new business opportunities, converting leads into sustainable clients
- Manage and nurture client relationships to ensure satisfaction and retention
- Prepare and share monthly billing and financial reports with stakeholders
- Perform daily administrative duties related to sales operations
- Represent and promote the DSV brand at all times
- Analyse sales data and report weekly to the Regional New Business Sales Manager
- Maintain and update client information on the CRM system (Dynamics)
- Conduct competitor and industry analysis and provide continuous updates
- Assist in preparing and delivering tenders and proposals
- Deliver innovative solutions to create sustainable value for customers
- Ensure quarterly, cumulative, and annual targets are achieved
- Communicate and implement signed business with relevant internal stakeholders
- Monitor and manage client debtor days within company requirements
- Promote inter-department collaboration to identify cross-silo solutions
- Maintain Dynamics system as per company procedures and Quality Management System
- Meet client call ratio KPIs and adhere to deadlines
- Perform additional duties as requested by management
Qualifications:
- Completed Grade 12 / Matric
- Tertiary qualifications advantageous
Skills & Computer Proficiency:
- MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint (Intermediate required; advanced advantageous)
- Strong organisational, analytical, and reporting skills
- Effective communication and relationship-building abilities
Experience:
- 2–3 years’ experience in Key Account Management and New Business Sales
- Proven track record in prospecting and achieving new business targets
- Experience in tender management and cross-silo solution selling
- Skilled in signing up strategic accounts and managing their implementation
- Reporting experience to Regional Sales Manager, including weekly and monthly updates
