Affinity Health is seeking a skilled and experienced Warehouse Manager to lead daily operations in a fast-paced FMCG warehouse. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with strong administrative, analytical, and staff management skills, ensuring smooth warehouse operations while maintaining high standards of safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Open and close the warehouse, ensuring operational readiness.
- Oversee inventory management, maintaining accurate records, stock control, and efficient storage.
- Supervise and train warehouse staff, assign tasks, set schedules, and monitor performance.
- Implement and enforce safety procedures to maintain a secure work environment.
- Optimize warehouse layout to maximize space utilization and improve picking, packing, and shipping efficiency.
- Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics, including receiving, inspecting, and scheduling shipments.
- Manage maintenance of warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Liaise with procurement, sales, and customer service teams to ensure smooth operations and timely order fulfillment.
- Monitor warehouse budgets, controlling expenses while maintaining operational quality.
- Implement quality control measures to ensure accurate picking, packing, and inventory management.
- Maintain accurate documentation of warehouse activities and generate management reports.
- Resolve operational issues or customer complaints promptly and professionally.
Requirements:
- Matric (Grade 12) essential; tertiary qualification is advantageous.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing, FMCG, or logistics environment.
- Minimum 5 years in a managerial capacity, with proven staff supervision experience.
- Strong administrative, analytical, and detail-oriented skills.
- Ability to follow through successfully on tasks and projects.
- Self-motivated with a commitment to continuous personal and professional development.
- Excellent conflict resolution and team collaboration skills.
