Key Responsibilities

• Perform full-function bookkeeping from source documents to final trial balance.
• Process tax invoices for suppliers and customers accurately and on time.
• Maintain and reconcile cashbooks, including monthly bank reconciliations.
• Reconcile supplier and customer statements and resolve variances.
• Process payroll and related statutory deductions.
• Manage SARS eFiling submissions, including EMP201 and EMP501.
• Prepare VAT reconciliations and VAT returns and assist with VAT reviews.
• Capture journals and ensure accurate financial records in line with accounting standards.

Candidate Requirements

• Grade 12 qualification.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in accounting or finance is preferred.
• Minimum 5 years’ proven experience in a Bookkeeper role.
• Proficient in accounting software, including Pastel.
• Solid understanding of Annual Financial Statements.
• Fully bilingual in English and Afrikaans.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Contactable references.
• Clear criminal record, subject to checks.
