Job Description:

Dis-Chem Pharmacies is seeking an experienced Store Cleaners for our Port Shepstone store. The Cleaner will be responsible for maintaining a clean and neat store in line with Dis-Chem’s hygienic standards, covering areas such as the store floor, stock room, dispensary, admin office, and canteen.

Minimum Requirements:

Essential:

• Grade 12 / Matric
• A minimum of 6 months’ cleaning experience
• Proficient in English
• Basic customer service skills
• Additional language specific to the area
• Willing and able to work retail hours

Advantageous:

• Bilingual abilities
• Previous retail store cleaning experience

Job Specification:

• Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the store, shop floor, and communal areas before the store opens.
• Develop routines to ensure all areas of the store are consistently clean.
• Ensure the canteen and restrooms are clean and stocked with necessary products at all times.
• Be available during operational hours to clean up as needed.
• Use the correct cleaning products and equipment for specific jobs.
• Ensure wet floor signs are up and visible at both ends when cleaning the floor.
• Be friendly, professional, and able to assist customers.
• Perform duties according to Health and Safety Regulations.

• Reliable transport and/or reside in close proximity to the store
