About the Role

The Shop Assistant Cashier x1 is responsible for delivering service excellence through efficient customer service, accurate point-of-sale (POS) operations, and in-store merchandising to ensure a positive and memorable customer experience.

Duties & Responsibilities

Key Objectives:

  • Execute all POS operational activities efficiently and within required timelines.
  • Maintain high levels of accuracy when scanning merchandise and processing payments, including the application of clubcard rewards.
  • Handle cash safely and responsibly at all times in line with company procedures.
  • Proactively promote the Clicks clubcard and enroll new members to achieve participation targets.
  • Inform customers of current promotions to positively impact sales and enhance value perception.
  • Deliver superior customer service by acting as a brand ambassador, remaining visible on the shop floor, and providing friendly, professional service.
  • Maintain merchandising standards and perform general housekeeping in line with store and visual merchandising guidelines.
  • Support the Group’s vision by living and driving company values to position the brand as the customer’s first choice in health and beauty retail.
  • Keep up to date with products, ranges, promotions, and in-store events to provide accurate information to customers.
