Mission
The Senior Manager will drive the development of new products and enhancements to existing solutions in alignment with MTN Business strategy, positioning MTN as a leader in the technology space. The role ensures stakeholders understand the Lead-to-Cash (L2C) process for all solutions and services, leverages robust change management practices, and enhances support processes (fulfillment, assurance, billing, reporting, etc.) through technology adoption, including AI and automation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of products and solutions based on market insights and business needs, collaborating with EB segments, client services, sales, business development, and external stakeholders.
- Plan and coordinate product and service delivery efforts through analysis, design review, validation, and value chain alignment.
- Enrich the EB product and service roadmap by driving technology refresh, digital transformation, and solution enhancements.
- Collaborate with IT, Networks, and Partnerships teams to identify capabilities, ecosystem partners, and opportunities to enhance product delivery and business value.
- Apply robust business analysis practices to capture, document, and validate requirements from key stakeholders, ensuring solutions deliver measurable business value.
- Ensure end-to-end product management including quality, timely delivery, scope management, and effective scoping and phasing of product launches.
- Maintain in-life products according to Enterprise Solutions Product strategy and manage product withdrawal, ensuring alternative solutions and migration plans are communicated and executed.
- Coordinate with QA and testing teams to validate products, identify deviations, raise change requests, and drive continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with quality management processes, telecommunications license provisions, sector regulations, and competition laws.
- Monitor product performance and revenue, collaborate with Business Intelligence teams, investigate anomalies, and recommend corrective actions to improve outcomes.
- Support change and transition management during GTM planning, documenting relevant processes, customer journeys, and Lead-to-Cash workflows.
- Establish post-implementation monitoring and early-life support structures, facilitating issue resolution and providing training to segment, sales, and client success teams.
- Serve as the product owner for FAB-related deployments, ensuring SCRUM framework responsibilities are fulfilled.
- Continuously review and optimize support processes across fulfillment, assurance, billing, and reporting, leveraging technology to improve efficiency.
- Provide strategic input on ES Propositions and Marketing Relations, aligning recommendations with MTNN business strategy and customer needs.
Education Requirements
- First degree in a related discipline.
- Master’s degree in Product Development, Business Analysis, Systems Engineering, or Project Management is an added advantage.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in local language is preferable.
Experience and Competencies
- 9–17 years of professional experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial track record.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in the ICT sector.
- Experience combining telecommunications and technology product development is advantageous.
- Advanced expertise in business analysis, solution architecting, and product lifecycle management.
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Proven ability to drive strategic initiatives, digital transformation, and process optimization.
