Introduction
Clicks is seeking a Pharmacy Manager who is passionate about helping people feel good and leading a team to deliver exceptional patient care and service excellence. The Pharmacy Manager will report directly to the Area Manager and play a key role in driving the performance and compliance of the pharmacy.
Duties & Responsibilities
Job Purpose:
Ensure the efficient operation of the dispensary and clinic by leading and managing the pharmacy team to deliver high standards of pharmaceutical care, meeting sales and compliance targets, and strengthening the brand’s competitive advantage.
Job Objectives:
- Deliver high standards of pharmaceutical care, accurate and safe dispensing, including generic substitution, and provide advice in line with Clicks’ processes, good pharmacy practice, and SAPC regulations.
- Manage all dispensary operations effectively, including stock control, shrinkage management, housekeeping, and administration, ensuring compliance with SAPC regulations and company standards.
- Maintain operational viability through sound financial management, focusing on dispensary and clinic targets, expense management, and proactive decision-making.
- Develop and motivate employees, including learners and interns, through effective leadership, training, and performance management to build a capable and competent team.
- Schedule staff according to labour policy to ensure all departments are fully staffed and maintain accurate time and attendance and employee records submitted to HR.
- Drive customer service initiatives that enhance the dispensary experience, increase customer loyalty, and achieve club card participation targets.
- Integrate pharmacy operations with the clinic and healthcare aisle to offer comprehensive healthcare solutions to customers.
- Promote the Group’s vision to be the customer’s first choice health and beauty retailer by living and driving company values.
- Foster cohesion and collaboration between the store, pharmacy, and clinic teams.
- Build a high-performing business culture that enhances employee engagement, customer satisfaction, and shareholder value.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Registered Pharmacist with SAPC.
- Minimum 2 years post-community service experience.
- Minimum 1 year people management experience.
- Registration with SAPC as Responsible Pharmacist.
- Desirable: Retail pharmacy experience.
- Desirable: Experience with Unisolve systems.
