About the Program
Introduction
Clicks Group Careers is seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Manager to lead a Clicks Pharmacy team. This role focuses on delivering high standards of patient care, service excellence, and operational efficiency, reporting directly to the Area Manager.
Duties & Responsibilities
Job Purpose:
Ensure the smooth operation of the dispensary and clinic while leading the pharmacy team to provide exceptional pharmaceutical care, meet sales and compliance targets, and strengthen the brand’s competitive advantage.
Job Objectives:
- Deliver high standards of pharmaceutical care, safe and accurate dispensing, generic substitution, and professional advice in line with Clicks’ procedures, good pharmacy practice, and SAPC regulations.
- Manage dispensary operations efficiently, including stock control, shrinkage prevention, housekeeping, and administrative duties, ensuring compliance with merchandising and SAPC standards.
- Maintain operational and financial viability by managing expenses, meeting core dispensary and clinic targets, and taking proactive measures as needed.
- Lead, motivate, and develop employees, including learners and interns, to build a capable team that meets current and future business needs.
- Schedule staff in line with labour policies, ensuring appropriate staffing, accurate time and attendance, and proper employee record management.
- Drive customer service initiatives that enhance the dispensary experience, build loyalty, and achieve clubcard participation targets.
- Promote integration and collaboration with the clinic and healthcare aisle to provide comprehensive healthcare solutions to customers.
- Support Clicks’ vision to be the first-choice health and beauty retailer by embodying and promoting company values.
- Foster cohesion and high performance across store, pharmacy, and clinic teams to deliver employee satisfaction, customer loyalty, and shareholder value.
Desired Experience & Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- Essential: Registered Pharmacist with SAPC
- Essential: Minimum 2 years’ experience post-community service
- Essential: Minimum 1 year People Management experience
- Essential: Registration as Responsible Pharmacist with SAPC
- Desirable: Retail pharmacy experience
- Desirable: Experience with Unisolv systems
