Job Overview:
Fidelity Vacancies is seeking a dedicated Payroll Administrator to join our Cape Town team. This role requires close collaboration with Branch Managers and Operations and reports directly to the allocated Payroll Managers. The Payroll Administrator will ensure accurate, timely, and efficient payroll processing while maintaining high standards of administration and organization.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Matric certificate; SAP experience is an advantage
  • Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills
  • High numerical accuracy and methodical work approach
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Professional liaison with personnel at all levels
  • Ability to work independently, under pressure, and meet strict deadlines
  • Own transport is essential

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain neat, organized, and up-to-date route files
  • Ensure daily bookings and posting sheets are accurate and current
  • Resolve posting sheet queries within 48 hours, escalating unresolved issues to the manager
  • Attach unresolved queries to the front cover of files until resolved
  • Follow up and obtain company numbers for all 102 bookings, ensuring completion within 24 hours
  • Manage 103 postings, marking and documenting reasons with managerial sign-off
  • Attend to all pay queries promptly, providing immediate feedback and necessary documentation
  • Submit corrections on valid posting sheets, clearly marked as corrections
  • Perform daily courtesy calls to managers and sites supplying posting sheets
  • Submit time books to management for employees under your responsibility
  • Verify and check back route files for accuracy
  • Ensure correct calculation of pay rate changes
  • Process all relevant deductions, including 3rd party deductions, garnishee orders, and maintenance orders
  • Process leave accurately and check/capture posting sheets daily
  • Provide immediate feedback on pay-related queries
