Sanlam Vacancies – Functional Consultant

Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Functional Consultant to join our Architecture COE team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in system analysis and solution architecture, with a strong background in D365, Power Platform components, and Azure services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Solution Architecture: Engage with business and technical stakeholders to develop comprehensive solution architectures that integrate D365, Power Platform components, and Azure services.
• Architectural Deliverables: Define and document solution architectural deliverables in collaboration with subject matter experts across enterprise architecture disciplines.
• Governance and Compliance: Assist in establishing and enforcing architectural governance, ensuring alignment with Enterprise Architecture frameworks and best practices.
• Research and Development: Conduct research and develop prototypes to optimize current and future solutions and applications.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Matric / Grade 12
• IT Diploma, Degree, or equivalent qualifications
• Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Sales Functional Consultant Associate
• Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Customer Service Functional Consultant Associate
• Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Solution Architect Expert
• 6-7 years’ experience in system analysis and solution architecture
• Experience with D365 Customer Service, Sales, and Marketing
• Proficiency in Power Platform (PowerApps, Power Automate, Power BI)
• Familiarity with Azure Cloud Services
• Experience in planning and designing solution architectures and implementing SaaS solutions in a corporate environment

Knowledge and Skills:

• Architectural frameworks, capabilities, and technologies
• Client experience and digital enablement
• SDLC and agile practices
• DevSecOps processes for Cloud Solutions
• Proofs of Concept, technical surveys, and application health assessments
• Integration using REST Services, Event Streaming, and ETL Processes
• Data modeling and security impact awareness
• Basic knowledge of POPI legislation and its project impact
• Solution sizing, estimation, and identifying non-functional requirements (NFRs)
• Strong communication, networking, and stakeholder engagement skills
