Job Description
We are recruiting for a Facilities Co-Ordinator with retail experience to join our Store Design Contracts Department at our Head Office in Cape Town. Reporting to the National Contracts Manager, this role is critical to the success of our business, supporting store builds across the portfolio and ensuring stores operate optimally.
The ideal candidate will be suitably qualified and experienced, responsible for supporting the daily management and operational functions of the retail property portfolio. This role offers strong opportunities for professional growth and development.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate, track, and ensure the timely resolution of all building and plant maintenance issues across stores, including water ingress, HVAC, escalators, hoists, and fire damage, supported by accurate progress reporting and documentation in collaboration with Property Management, Property Legal, Operations, Landlords, and Contracts Management teams.
- Collaborate with internal departments, external service providers, and key stakeholders to achieve departmental and project objectives.
- Support the implementation and continuous improvement of new processes and systems.
- Maintain accurate record-keeping and ensure documentation compliance across operational processes.
- Build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships with Store Operations teams, contractors, and support departments.
Qualifications and Experience
• Essential: Matric/Grade 12; NQF 4 in Facilities Management or Project Management.
• Desirable: NQF 5/6 in Facilities Management.
• 3–5 years’ experience in Property Management or Project Coordination, preferably within a retail property or retail build environment.
• Proficiency in MS Excel.
