Role Purpose
The Shop Assistant / Cashier is responsible for delivering efficient point-of-sale operations while providing excellent customer service. This role supports sales growth, promotes loyalty programmes, and ensures customers enjoy a positive and professional in-store experience.
Key Responsibilities

Execute all point-of-sale operations accurately and efficiently, including scanning merchandise and processing payments.

Ensure safe and responsible handling of cash and transactional processes at all times.

Promote and enroll customers in the Clicks ClubCard to achieve participation targets.

Inform customers of current promotions to drive sales and enhance value for money.

Act as a brand ambassador by delivering friendly, visible, and professional customer service.

Maintain high standards of merchandising, shelf presentation, and general housekeeping in line with store standards.

Support the organisation’s vision by consistently living and promoting company values.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, ranges, promotions, and in-store events to assist customers effectively.
Knowledge Requirements
