Job Description
The End Controller is responsible for ensuring that all stock and fixed asset movements are accurately checked, authorised, and recorded when goods leave the store or when customers return merchandise. The role plays a critical part in protecting company assets, maintaining security, and supporting a positive customer experience.

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum Grade 12 with at least 1 year relevant work experience, or 2 years relevant work experience

  • Ability to communicate effectively in English and the dominant local language

  • Fully literate with strong numerical skills

  • Proven attention to detail and accuracy

  • Ability to work under pressure

  • Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays

Key Performance Areas

End Control and Asset Protection

  • Ensure no goods leave the store without valid and authorised documentation

  • Verify that all documentation is complete, accurate, and correctly captured, including date, time, sequence, and signatures

  • Record and authorise all customer returns accurately in the End Controller book

  • Ensure backup staff are available during shift changes, lunch, and tea breaks

  • Sign End Control keys in and out daily in accordance with procedures

  • Ensure all entry and exit doors are closed when not in use

  • Ensure loading and off-loading shutter doors remain closed when not in use

  • Report all suspicious behaviour or vehicles posing a potential risk to management

  • Conduct random employee searches in line with company policy

Customer Service

  • Provide fast, friendly, and efficient service when checking customers’ goods in and out

  • Direct customers to the appropriate staff member for further assistance
