RPO Recruitment is seeking a skilled Machine Maintenance Electrician for a leading manufacturing company’s Plastic Moulding department. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented and proactive electrician with strong expertise in electrical maintenance, fault diagnosis, and repair to ensure seamless operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Minimize operational downtime by conducting efficient electrical maintenance, fault finding, and repair of machinery and services.
- Perform routine inspections to proactively identify and resolve electrical issues.
- Execute scheduled and corrective maintenance tasks while ensuring accurate documentation via job cards.
- Recommend and implement enhancements to improve maintenance processes and reduce corrective interventions.
- Support new equipment installations and modifications, focusing on electrical and utility integrations.
- Coordinate with inventory teams to optimize maintenance spares and stock management.
- Maintain high standards of workplace cleanliness and adhere to safety protocols and regulations.
- Contribute to refining operational procedures and best practices.
- Mentor and oversee junior maintenance staff, fostering knowledge-sharing and skill development.
- Promote a collaborative environment by providing technical guidance and training as needed.
Requirements:
- Matric qualification and Trade-tested N3 Electrician certification with a valid wireman’s license.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in electrical maintenance, preferably in manufacturing or industrial settings.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and technical troubleshooting abilities.
- Excellent communication skills and teamwork orientation.
- Thorough understanding of workplace safety standards and compliance.
- Proactive mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Flexibility to work overtime and weekends when required.
- Punctual and reliable with strong time management.
