Role Purpose
Lead a regional sales team to execute Momentum Insure’s short-term insurance strategy, driving sales and ensuring an exceptional customer experience. Responsibilities include optimizing the sales function, developing regional strategies, managing budgets, and overseeing people and processes to achieve business objectives.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- FAIS Regulatory exams RE1 (Key Individual) and RE5 (Reps)
- FAIS-accredited industry qualification (NQF 7: Bachelor’s/Advanced Diploma)
- 18 CPD points; Class of Business training preferred
- Leadership/management qualification (advantageous)
Experience:
- 5–7 years managing managers in sales teams
- 7–10 years in sales, preferably in financial services (insurance, banking)
- Expertise in personal and commercial insurance lines
Knowledge:
- Insurance products, processes, and industry trends
- Business acumen, data analysis, and financial literacy
- Distribution models, advice processes, and compliance
Duties & Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and execute regional sales plans aligned with business objectives.
- Monitor KPIs, identify growth opportunities, and optimize processes.
- Ensure risk management and governance compliance.
Team Management:
- Recruit, coach, and motivate sales teams and managers.
- Drive productivity, performance reviews, and EE-compliant hiring.
- Foster continuous learning and development.
Performance Culture:
- Set and achieve sales targets through structured plans.
- Promote teamwork, competition, and recognition.
Learning & Innovation:
- Integrate new products/technology into sales strategies.
- Encourage feedback and data-driven improvements.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Strengthen client relationships and cross-functional collaboration.
- Uphold corporate governance and market benchmarking.
