Job Overview
As a Financial Advisor, you will sell Sanlam Retail Mass products and services, promoting solutions through professional presentations and client engagement. You will monitor market trends, competitor activity, and client needs while achieving pre-set sales targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide financial advice and plans aligned with the Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) framework.

  • Manage and grow allocated key accounts and market segments.

  • Offer excellent customer service to existing and potential clients.

  • Schedule and conduct appointments with prospective clients within assigned accounts.

  • Communicate product updates and new offerings to clients and the public.

  • Maintain a thorough understanding of Sanlam products, regulations, and market trends.

  • Ensure Continuous Professional Development (CPD) credits, accreditations, and qualifications are current.

  • Participate in internal and external knowledge-sharing and training opportunities.

  • Strong entrepreneurial mindset with a target-driven, self-disciplined approach.

  • Customer-focused and able to build lasting client relationships.

  • Ability to meet or exceed sales targets through effective planning and execution.

  • Tech-savvy, including social media engagement for business development.

Education and Qualifications

  • Grade 12/Matric.

  • FAIS compliant with ‘fit and proper’ status.

  • Proficiency in English and any other official South African language.

  • Post-matric qualification or RE5 registration is advantageous.

Experience and Skills

  • Previous experience in sales or client services, preferably within financial services.

  • Competitor experience is an added advantage.

  • Knowledge of financial advice, production target achievement, compliance, risk management, and client relationship management.

  • Ability to provide financial planning recommendations aligned with client needs.
