Teleresources is seeking an experienced Broker Consultant to join our client’s team. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic professional with a strong background in the insurance industry, particularly in broker consulting, trade unions, and funeral parlours.
Requirements:
- Matric certificate.
- NQF level 6 qualification or a 3-year relevant tertiary qualification (advantageous).
- RE5 Regulatory Examinations for representatives.
- 60 FAIS credits or a full FAIS-recognized qualification.
- Class of Business and Product-specific training in category 1 life and friendly societies.
- 12+ years of Continuous Professional Development (CPD) per cycle.
- Knowledge of insurance legislation.
- Valid driver’s license and own vehicle.
- Strong understanding of long-term insurance or employee benefits products.
- Knowledge of underwriting processes.
- 5+ years of experience in the insurance industry, specifically in group funeral or group risk markets.
- Proven experience in broker consulting, trade unions, and funeral parlours within an insurance company.
- Ability to establish and maintain relationships with decision-makers.
- Demonstrated sales track record.
Key Performance Areas (KPAs):
- Identify and secure new business opportunities with corporates, unions, churches, and individual clients.
- Attract and maintain relationships with new brokers.
- Develop and nurture client relationships across all business levels.
- Resolve post-sales challenges to ensure client satisfaction.
- Stay informed about competitor offerings and industry trends.
- Address client queries and provide guidance on sales and service matters.
- Actively engage with clients to promote company values.
- Deliver compelling presentations to diverse client audiences.
