About the Role
Pep Vacancies is seeking a detail-oriented Financial Clerk to support the finance team by ensuring that sales and expenses are accurately processed each month and that store deposits are banked daily. The role focuses on maintaining accurate financial records, performing reconciliations, and supporting administrative finance processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Capture and correctly code daily cash expenses and sales returns.
- Process bank statements and maintain accurate financial records.
- Reconcile daily cash transactions, sales returns, and expenses with bank statements.
- Reconcile bank statements with ledger balances to ensure financial accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies between sales reports and retail reports.
- Perform general administrative duties within the finance department.
Requirements
- Grade 12 qualification with Accounting.
- An Accounting diploma or certificate will be advantageous.
- At least 2 years of reconciliation experience within a financial department will be beneficial.
- Computer literacy, including Google Workspace and Microsoft Office.
- SAP experience will be an advantage.
