Affinity Health is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead and oversee operations within a busy manufacturing facility. This hands-on role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with a strong track record in managing production teams, optimizing workflows, and ensuring quality and efficiency standards are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure full compliance with company and legislative Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies.
- Maintain accurate production records, shift reports, incident reports, and compliance documentation.
- Oversee daily production floor operations, ensuring processes run smoothly, safely, and on schedule.
- Implement and monitor production schedules, adjusting labor and materials to meet output goals.
- Enforce quality assurance standards, performing checks and addressing non-conformance promptly.
- Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and lower operational costs.
- Manage production equipment and machinery, coordinating maintenance and repairs as needed.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate production staff, operators, and general workers.
- Conduct on-the-job training and provide continuous coaching on safety, quality, and operational procedures.
- Monitor team performance, conduct evaluations, and provide constructive feedback.
- Address minor disciplinary issues and conflicts, escalating serious matters to management or HR.
- Conduct safety inspections and risk assessments to maintain a safe working environment.
- Coordinate with inventory control to ensure raw materials and components are available for production.
- Monitor material handling to minimize breakage, spoilage, or loss during production.
Requirements:
- Relevant technical qualification, trade certification, or Diploma/Degree in Production Management, Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience supervising teams in fast-paced manufacturing, logistics, or distribution environments.
- Strong knowledge of production processes, equipment operation, and machinery maintenance.
- Experience implementing and maintaining quality control systems (e.g., ISO standards).
- Solid understanding of health and safety legislation in a factory setting.
- Proficiency in production planning software, MS Office, and data analysis tools.
- Focus on continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) to drive efficiency.
