About the Role

The Pharmacy Manager leads the dispensary and clinic to ensure efficient operations and service excellence. This role is responsible for directing the pharmacy team to deliver high standards of pharmaceutical care while achieving sales, compliance, and performance targets that create a competitive advantage for the brand.

Duties & Responsibilities

Key Objectives:

  • Ensure the delivery of high standards of pharmaceutical care, including safe and accurate dispensing, generic substitution, and professional advice in line with company standards, Good Pharmacy Practice, and SAPC scope of practice.
  • Manage and control all dispensary operations, including stock management, shrinkage prevention, housekeeping, and administration in accordance with merchandising standards, SAPC regulations, and company policies.
  • Ensure the operational viability of the dispensary through sound financial management, achievement of core dispensary and clinic targets, effective expense control, and proactive performance management.
  • Build a competent, motivated team by leading effective recruitment, performance management, and continuous development of employees, learners, and interns to meet current and future business needs.
  • Plan and manage staff scheduling in line with labour policies and models to ensure optimal coverage, including accurate weekly time and attendance and HR record submission.
  • Drive customer service initiatives within the dispensary to deliver exceptional customer experiences, build loyalty, and achieve clubcard participation targets.
  • Ensure strong integration and partnership with the clinic and healthcare aisle to provide a comprehensive healthcare offering to customers.
  • Support the Group’s vision by living and driving company values to position the brand as the customer’s first choice health and beauty retailer.
  • Drive cohesion, consistency, and integration between store operations, pharmacy, and clinic teams.
  • Foster a high-performance culture that delivers employee engagement, customer satisfaction, and shareholder value.
